Planning a Hen Do
Hen Parties are a great opportunity for Brides to Be to let their hair down before tying the knot – but no party ever goes right without the right hen do planning.
What started off as single evenings out just before the wedding have now evolved to being full weekends away, with large groups often staying at wonderful country cottages or out-of-the-way luxury accommodation.
With weekends away come the need for entertainment. This can range from a pamper session at the Spa, pole dancing session or a full-on male stripper. They provide great memories when the dust has settled and everyone is back home, but someone has to arrange it all!
Bridesmaids’ Duties
This is when the bridesmaids or maid of honour come in. They have the responsibility and the weight of expectancy to organise the best hen party ever! No mean feat as hen parties are getting more elaborate every year.
Hen parties are a tricky thing to get right. Pleasing the bride and ensuring there’s plenty of things to do to keep them entertained is a challenge. Add to that, the often incongruous mix of people attending.
Pitching the activities at the hen party in the correct way is important. Male nudity is a popular theme, but hiring a stripper isn’t for everyone.
Life drawing sessions have become a popular alternative hen party activity for the past few years.
You get to study the nude male body from every angle, but you also learn to draw at the same time. There’s also no thongs, gyrating or fake tan involved – well not from the life model at least!
